Description: The following is an edited version from the weekly Vietnam Communique column in the 19 Oct 1968 issue.
Cannoneers of the 23rd Arty Grp supported a Mobile Strike Force in heavy contact in the NW of III Corps accounted for 100 of the 151 enemy killed in the encounter. A platoon from A/2/11th Arty blasted the enemy force during the contact mission approximately 20 miles NW of Tay Ninh City. The remaining 51 enemy were reported killed by airstrikes.
