Description: BLT 2/26d Marines and HMM-362 conducted this search and clear SLF Alpha operation on Barrier Island, south of Hoi An. Casualties: US - 3 KIAs, 19 WIAs; enemy 33 KIAs. The SLF forces reembarked on LPH 3 Okinawa when this operation terminated. Some sources mention VALIANT HUNT II which indicates there were two distinct efforts during this period.
