Description: B/7/17 Cav reported a busy month. The Blues were inserted a total of 15 times. Twice they received sniper action fire and only three occasion actually engaged the enemy in extremely heavy fire fights. The combination of aerial forces and ground elements yielded: 1 mauser, 1 T-33 Russian pistol, 4 AK-47s, 45 82mm mortar rounds, 1 82mm mortar sight with case, 5 60mm mortar rounds, 1,400 rounds of AK-47 ammo, 1 SKS, 30 lbs. of explosives, 50 lbs. of assorted medical supplies, 1 39 lbs. medical kit, 35 lbs. of documents, 8 large bags of clothing, 15 chickens, 5 detainees, and 1 VC WIA who was captured and evaced. The following were either killed or destroyed: 15 VC KIA's, 4 tons of rice and wheat, 200 lbs. of fish, 53 bunkers by satchel charges, 80 more by airstrikes and arty, and countless bunkers heavily damaged. The Troop losses were 1 KIA, 4 WIA's, and 1 OH-6A.
