Description: The following is an edited extract from the 1/52 Inf S2/3 Journal. At 0915hrs a Warlord team reported on station. 0940hrs B Co. at location BT131068 received approximately 15-20 rounds of sniper fire from vicinity of BT128070 approximate range 300 meters. The Warlords in area worked the enemy location, results unknown. 1005hrs the Warlords broke station 1415hrs B Co. found 1 enemy body believed killed by Warlords. The enemy soldier was wearing green uniform believed NVA. 1345hrs D Co. at location BT225115 receiving sniper fire from vicinity BT232117 approximate range 500 meters. Artillery was fired. 1350hrs D. Co. believes there are approximately 20-25 enemy with AK47s and about 3 machine guns at grid BT233117. 1350hrs Gunships requested from Brigade. 1355hrs Gunships scrambled, en route to D Co. 1400hrs D Co. observes approximately 12 enemy wearing blank PJs with packs and weapons running between hooches near BT233117. 1420hrs Brigade gunships ETA 15 min, no reason given for delay. Contact broken, receiving no incoming rounds. 1435hrs gunships report on station working w/D Co. 1440hrs D Co. moving towards area of contact. 1455hrs gunships broke station.
