Description: The following is an edited extract from the 1/52 Inf S2/3 Journal.
At 1400hrs a Warlord team near BT272091 picked up 1 VN Male trying to evade. He was approximately 50yrs old. 1405hrs near BT202041 killed 4 enemy wearing packs. One had a pistol belt and possibly 1 weapon. 1430hrs 1 military age male KIA near BT168038 trying to evade. Also two hootch destroyed with secondary explosions the size of possible mortar round in each hootch. Also in same area 1 WIA or KIA (not confirmed) 1 round sniper fire from BT165043 with no hits. 1430hrs detainee evacuated to LZ Professional and hence at 1520hrs moved to LZ Bayonet.
1515hrs a utility helicopter supporting this unit engaged one enemy wearing blank pants and a grey shirt evading to the northeast vicinity BT230140. Results: 1 VC KIA.
