Description: The following is an edited extract from the 1/52 Inf S2/3 Journal. At 1358hrs a Warlord team reported they were on station to conduct a VR in AO. 1450hrs BT181129 observed camouflage automatic weapons site. BT164122 observed 6 new graves, 4 green uniform shirts, 1 military age male evading. He got away. BT248124 observed tunnel along river, 2 black uniforms drying in sun. BT247122 2 green uniforms drying. BT204108 4 new tunnel entrances on a hillside 2 by 3 ft. Broke station. At 1545hrs D Co. at BT190130 detained two individuals. A military age male (20 years) was picked up near BT183133, no ID. Other was picked up near BT190130 male approximately 40yrs, no ID. Found canteen and protective mask in hootch. 1600hrs evaced to LZ Professional. 1607hrs D Co. at BT190130 received automatic weapons fire from approximately 15-20 enemy using AK 47s and approximately 2 machine guns from BT190125. 1610hrs artillery fired. 1613hrs hostile firing stopped. Results: 1 US wounded due to hostile action with slight frag wound in leg was picked up C&C, evacuated to 312th Evac. Name: Doering. 1700hrs upon checking area D Co. found 1 male KIA, 2 females KIA, 3 VN wounded. 1730hrs Dustoff complete.
