Description: On D+1 of operation ATLAS WEDGE, 11th ACR helicopters returned to find only squads of NVA in the Michelin rubber plantation. APCs from the 1st Sqdn moved off FSB Holiday Inn and drove west through the "great swath" cut by Rome Plows from QL 13 into the plantation. The 3rd Sqdn followed. Soon the APCs and tanks were skirmishing as they responded to helicopter sightings.
