Description: The Air Ambulance Platoon monthly newsletter reported that CPT Robert D. Sawyer moved from the CP to Bn S-3 and then was released from active duty. CPT James C. Danby moved into the CP. WO1 John Shirley, CW2 Robert Black, SP5 Barth Cutler, and SP5 John Friscie made the 7,000 helicopter lanidng on the USS Sanctuary, a Naval hospital ship. The Newsletter contains a long narrative about a hoist mission. Apparently their mamasans were not available because they had to do their own washing. SP5 Brian Fox was presented the AM with "V" device for his latest crew recovery in an impressive award ceremony conducted by MG Zais, among the captured equipment from operation MASSACHUSETTS STRIKER in the A Shau Valley.
