Description: Concerning the 334th Attack Helicopter Company, the 145th CAB ORLL states that they continued support of III Corps Fire-Fly missions for the 25th ARVN Div, the Bien Hoa Tactical Area Command, and the CMAC (Capital Military Assistance Command). It also provided support for the 51st LRRP Company and other allied III Corps units.
In the Operations section, the ORLL states the 334th provides three Fire-Fly teams nightly to interdict sampan traffic on the rivers and canals in III Corps. They afford defense of the Saigon, Long Binh and Bien Hoa complexes. They also support the 51st LRRP Company with two light fire teams on a 24 hour a day basis. Additionally, they provide armed escort missions as required by II FFV AAE and the 145th CAB.
