Location, A Shau Valley
Description: The 9th Marines, the 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Div and the 3rd ARVN Regiment conducted this operation in the northern part of the A Shau Valley in western Thua Thien Province and claimed 977 known enemy casualties. This was a follow on to MASSACHUSETTS STRIKER.
