unit history information
for 361 AWC
52 CAB

From date 690511 to 690517

361 AWC was a US Army unit
52 CAB was a US Army unit
Primary service involved, US Army
Pleiku Province, II Corps, South Vietnam
Location, Camp Holloway
Description: The 361st Escort Company's unit history states that during this period the entire 52d CAB was put on alert. The Panthers had to sleep in their bunkers which was especially hard on everyone with all the tactical emergency missions flown to Ben Het during the night. It was good that they were on alert status on 12 May when Holloway came under a severe rocket and mortar attack that lasted from 0200 to 0700H. The last round struck behind the Operations building leaving it with an air conditioned look.
