Description: The 361st Escort Company's unit history states that while performing escort duties for dignitaries, medivacs, news teams, resupply and troop movements became quite usual for the Panthers, not quite so usual was escorting the resupply of Ben Het of eight cows by sling load. This period was filled with numerous night missions where Panthers were forced to nearly hover along Route 14 to reach the beseiged Ben Het. Due to the successful support given to the 24th STZ by the Panters and the units at Dak To and Kontum Airfields (which also came under attack several times during this period), the entire 52d CAB was recommended for a Valorous Unit Citation.
