Description: The battalion history states that the beginning of the new year found the 2/20th AFA well known throughout the 1st Cav Div as BLUE MAX in a general support role (GSR) to the division. Battery A was assigned a GSR mission and reinforced the fires of the 2/19th Artillery at Tay Ninh. Battery B was GSR to the 1/77th Artillery at Phuoc Vinh and operated a 24 hour laager site at Song Be to support the 2d Brigade operations in that area. Battery C was GSR to the 1/21st Artillery at Quan Loi.
