Description: A/7/17th Cav reported during a VR mission, the Scouts found an area with bunker complexes, sleeping platforms, and heavy usage markings. An estimated platoon size element was in the area at the time. The target was engaged the Scouts and gunships and the Blues were inserted soon after the initial contact. After the Blues made contact with the enemy, the results were 5 NVA KIA, 2 AK-47's, one 51 cal machine gun, and one enemy pistol captured. In a reverse sweep through the same area, the Blues came upon a large quantity of raw cotton, a weaving machine, 3 vases, 25 lbs of corn, and a 30 cal weapon.
