Description: A/7/17th Cav reported their Scouts began screening for a unit of the 23d ARVN Rangers. This provoked a continuous fire from enemy units which prompted the C&C to call airstrikes into the area. The enemy was strongly entrenched. The Scouts then began a screening mission in order to lead the friendly troops out of the area. Though they received many aircraft hits, they never wavered from their mission. The friendly unit would have been easily over powered and destroyed if not for the gallant efforts of the Troop's Scouts.
