Description: The 119th unit history states that normal missions are flown as the weather permitted the Gators to lift off on schedule. Gator 317, piloted by WO Pickett, received multiple shrapnel on his ship as he was on a low level scorpion mission. He detonated a home made B40 round on top a tree. No one was injured in the mishap.
