for 2 BDE 25 INF

For date 710322

2 BDE 25 INF was a US Army unit
Primary service involved, US Army
South Vietnam
Location, Camp Frenzell-Jones
Description: 22Mar71 Photo Captions Page 10 CAMP FRENZELL-JONES - These men of the 25th Infantry Division's 2nd Bn., 12th Inf. recon patrol will tell you that war is hell, that whoever said cleanliness is next to godliness forgot about the grunt and if home is where the heart is, this ain't it. Theirs is a tedious job of constant sweeps and searches. These photos are worth more than a thousand words in describing their life in Vietnam as members of a recon patrol. 1) A few moments for thought, then it's hit the bush (man sitting in the doorway of a Huey observing another Huey in the flight). 2) Who said, "You can't take it with you?" (pile of rucks) 3) Sometimes knee-deep in water, but always a watchful eye. 4) A signal for the chopper for a jungle penetrator and the patrol's ailing scout is evacuated so he can return another day.
