More detail on this person: Daniel Myles Cunningham, of Oxford, Maine, formerly of Reading, Massachusetts, died May 22, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born, raised and lived in Reading for 63 of his 65 years. He was a special husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle and law partner. He was the cherished husband of Martha Carlson Cunningham, the loving father to Scott Chun and wife Cherry and Kristofer Chun and wife Ilse, and the best "Bumpa" to Ethan, Isabelle, Owen and Lucy. His wonderful parents were the late Peter Cunningham from Ireland and the late Mary Cunningham from Scotland. He loved his mother-in-law Virginia Carlson and late father-in-law, Robert Carlson. He was the baby brother to the late Rita Nelson and her late husband Hobart, Peter Cunningham, the late Mary Turner and her late husband Gary, Robert Cunningham and his wife Gillian, Jean Dalton and her late husband Warren, and James Cunningham and his wife Nancy. Beloved brother-in-law to Svea Carlson and her husband Frank, Krista Cullen and her husband Glenn, and the late Kurt Carlson and his wife Alison and his late brother-in-law Bobby Carlson, his "Best Man" at his wedding and dear friend. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Daniel was a proud US Army Veteran during Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. A Funeral Service Celebrating Daniel's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, in The First Baptist Church, 45 Woburn St., Reading at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday, May 28th, from 5-8pm in the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment with Military Honors Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading. Please honor Daniel by making donations in his memory to The Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St. Quincy, MA 02169-6900.
