More detail on this person: Major Alastair Stannard Or Stan Clark, 76 CLARK, Alastair Stannard Hartford Courant, The (CT) - Thursday, July 17, 2008 CLARK, Alastair Stannard Alastair Stannard Clark, 76, of Clinton passed away Tuesday (July 15, 2008) at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. Born in Somerville, NJ on January 11, 1932, Stan is the son of the late Alastair Francis and Margaret (Stannard) Clark. Stan leaves behind his loving wife Barbara (Bryant) Clark; daughter Tracey and her husband Joseph J. Celentano III; grandson Joseph J. Celentano IV; sister Nancy Gregg of Townsend, MA; brother Charles Clark of Pownal, VT and many nieces and nephews. Stan is predeceased by his parents and his brother Robert Clark of Old Lyme. Stan is an US Army Major having served in Korea, Germany, Italy and the Vietnam War. He was a Helicopter and Fixed Wing Pilot and was honorably discharged in 1967 after 12 years of service. He was also a Commander for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 21-8 in Clinton. Stan attended Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA, graduating in 1950. He then attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and graduated with BS in Business Administration in 1954. In 1967 he graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT with his MALS in Education. Since graduating from Wesleyan University, Stan has resided in Clinton. He was a teacher at John Winthrop Junior High School and a Commercial Fisherman/Lobsterman in Clinton.
