Cross and Erma Kindel Cross; his first wife Norma Koontz Cross, his second wife Bobbie J Cross and a son Paul R. Cross. Survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Castille Cross, two daughters Carrol Cross & Pamela Lamount, husband James. Three grandchildren Shelley O'Brien, husband Kelly, Brandon Branch, wife Nicole and Amanda Lamount. Two great granddaughters: Ashlynn and Courtney Branch; four stepsons: Paul, John, James & Thomas Castille; five step grandchildren. LTC Cross had over 20 year's active duty in the US Army. Retired at Fort Wolters, Texas April 1, 1970, was Rooter Wing Aviator and Airplane pilot. Recipient of National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, World war II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Sr. Army Aviator Badge, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Cross of gallantry with Palm, Meritorious Unit Citation, Air medal with 19 Oak Leaf Clusters two awarded for Valor, 2 Over Sea Bars, Army Commendation Medal and Meritorious Service medal. Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full Military Honors on Friday October 16, 2009 at 9:00 am. A memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Army Residence Chapel.
