Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 1:00 pm, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Dr. Frank Parr will officiate. Robert Alonzo DuVall was born January 17, 1932 in Lockwood, Missouri to the late Laurence A DuVall and Lorene Alexander DuVall. Lt. Colonel DuVall served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. His military education career began with Officer Candidate School, Basic Airborne School, Jump Master School, US Army Aviation School-Primary Flight Training, US Army Aviation School-Advanced Flight Training, Combat Intelligence School, Infantry Officer Career School, Army Aviation Safety School, Command and General Staff College and Helicopter School. His decorations include Master Army Aviation Wings, Parachute Wings, Expert Infantry Badge, Legion of Merit, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal (Berlin), Armed Forces Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church, the Military Officers Association. Survivors include his wife Brunhilda DuVall, and two daughters, Susan DuVall Epp of Newport Beach, CA, and Laura DuVall Molony of Alpharetta, GA.
