More detail on this person: He was with friends canoeing near Hardy AR when he suffered a heart attack but he kept quiet for fear of ruining their outing. I guess he didn't know he had suffered a heart attack, ghost pains I think they call it. Later that evening his pain was getting worse so his friends called an ambulance and they transported him to a hospital 2 hours away. It was at the hospital that he suffered a brain hemorrhage that put him in a coma and a month later on October 1, 1997 he died.
