More detail on this person: Clifford Ison Hooper, Jr. was born on September 20, 1944 in Monterey, California to the loving union of Clifford I. Hooper, Sr. and Harriett Oliver Hooper. Cliff is preceded in death by both his mother and father. His father served as a captain in the United States Army, where he was stationed at Ford Ord, California. His younger brother Clinton was born soon after. Cliff lived with his nuclear family until his mother passed away in 1947.

At that time, Clifford Sr. moved with his boys to Seattle, Washington where Cliff attended Martin Luther King (Harrison) Elementary and Meany Middle School. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1963. A few years later he graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree. Cliff joined the United States Army in 1965, where he rose to the rank of warrant officer and became a helicopter pilot. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was often under enemy fire and received many combat decorations for his rescue missions for the wounded. His beloved father, Cliff, Sr. was extremely proud of Cliff's service, dedicating a book "To my family who have participated in America's wars for five generations from the Civil War to the Vietnam War."

During that time, Cliff and his previous wife Mary had a son, Christopher. After returning from Vietnam, Cliff became a helicopter pilot instructor in Texas. He was honorably discharged from the Army after five years of service, and returned to Seattle. He became a supervising air traffic controller for the Boeing Company, a position he enjoyed for a period of ten years. In 1975, Cliff married Tauna Hix and added his princess daughter Anitra to their family, which included Christopher and Jason Hix, Tauna's son from a previous marriage.

Cliff's noted career progressed to include an education at Renton Vocational Technical School. Shortly thereafter, he went to work for Microsoft as a computer programmer. During this time, Clifford, Sr. took ill and passed away in 2001. Cliff was beginning his training as a manager until his death on February 20, 2005. Cliff accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the family's church - First Christian Church in Kent, Washington.

Surviving Cliff are his wife Tauna; his son Christopher, his stepson Jason Hix and his wife Jacquelyn, her son Bryan and their daughter Aryanna; and his daughter Anitra. He is also survived by his brother Clinton Hooper, Sr. and his wife Claudia, his niece Tracie and her children; and his nephew Clint Jr. and his wife Emma and their daughter. He also leaves a host of extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.

On Cliff's behalf, please remember these admonitions from the bible -

John 8:32 & 36 - "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." "If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Please read and remember John 3:16
