illness.James B. Kelly, 66, of Pensacola, died
Tuesday afternoon May 14, 2002, after a lengthy
illness.
Jim was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on August
4, 1935. He graduated from Marion Military
Institute in 1956, earned his Bachelor Degree at
the University of Alabama in 1958. He later earned
his masters degree in History and Counseling from
Troy State University. Jim graduated from Flight
School in Class ORWAC 59-C7 and served in
Vietnam with A Company, 25 Aviation Battalion,
25th Infantry Division earning the Distinguished
Flying Cross among other decorations.
Jim was First Vice President with Morgan Stanley,
a member of the Tiger Club, Pensacola North
Rotary Club, the Pensacola Yacht Club and he was
an avid boater. Jim also served on the board of
the Pensacola Favor House and was a member of
the First United Methodist Church.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years,
Monette Kelly: son Chris Kelly (Sharyn), of
Pensacola; daughter, Shannon S Ferra, of
Clearwater Beach, FL and three grandchildren;
Asher, Hannah and Annie Kelly.
