More detail on this person: Ernest W. Kramer Ernest W. Kramer, 55, of 412 Ninth Ave. SW, died of cancer Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Knoxville. His body was cremated. Family services will be at a later date in Illinois. Arrangements with Reese Funeral Home, Newton. Survivors include his mother, MaryJean Kramer of Illinois; two daughters, Jennifer of Ohio and Julie of Tennessee; four brothers, Thom, Barry and Ken, all of Illinois, and John of Iowa; and three sisters, Kathleen Perez of Arizona, Teri Ayotte of Illinois and Christine Wilkins of New Hampshire. A Vietnam veteran, Ernest was a helicopter pilot with the 1st Cavalry. He was twice awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and also received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
