More detail on this person: Jack Milton McKnight UNION - Jack Milton McKnight, 65, of 4624 Lockhart Highway, died Jan. 26, 1998, at his home after an extended illness. A native of Moncks Corner, he was a son of Olive Bunch McKnight of Summerville and the late Hughey E. McKnight. He was a member of Lockhart Presbyterian Church. He was a retired major with the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He had served in the Korean Conflict and had two tours in Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart. Also surviving is his wife, Sara James McKnight; two sons, Philip James and David Milton McKnight of Union; and four sisters, Edith Ellsworth of Niceville, Fla., Kate Wilkie of San Diego, Joanne Pipkin of Moncks Corner and Margie Self of Frisco, Texas. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Bullock's Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Troy Phillips. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
