More detail on this person: Maj. Roswell Moore, Jr. Ros spent his childhood years in Berlin, CT, moulding his enduring competitive spirit, graduating from Kent School in 1950, and Bowdoin College in 1954. Ros then served his country for thirty years in the U.S. Army, a reserve Major and Master Aviator. He spent two tours in Viet Nam as a Huey gunship pilot and door gunner. Ros earned numerous medals during his career, including the Bronze Star for meritorious service. Ros and Beverly enjoyed the Army lifestyle, traveling the world, entertaining, and always enjoying a party. They brought that passion with them when they moved to Sugar Land in 1975. Ros then stretched his wings as an ROTC instructor at Houston's San Jacinto High School for a bit until he chose a second career as a life insurance agent. Ros will be remembered as a loyal friend, competitive bridge player, and was always the gentleman of grace and simple elegance. He was a loving supportive husband, (except when excessive shopping by Bev was concerned) with a delightful sense of humor and a lightness of being. Ros is survived by his son, Roswell Moore III, (Tres), his wife Maria, and granddaughters, Brianna, Hollie, and Kristin of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Andrea Mininni, her husband Tom, and granddaughter, Elizabeth of Sugar Land, TX; brother, John Moore, his wife Caroline of Aspen, CO, and their children, John, Stephen, Matthew, and Kris; brother-in-law, Bill Booth of Sarasota FL; and nephew David Booth.
