More detail on this person: Mr Henry R Or Hank Northridge, 70 Henry R. Northridge New Hampshire Union Leader (Manchester, NH) - Monday, October 17, 2005 BEDFORD -- Henry R. "Hank" Northridge, 70, died Oct. 13, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center, after a sudden illness. Born in Gardner, Mass., April 13, 1935, the son of Howard and Jan (Janhonen) Northridge, he was a 1953 graduate of Manchester High School Central and was a 1957 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Northridge was a U.S. Army veteran of 23 years, retiring with the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1977. He served two tours in Vietnam, was a helicopter pilot and received the Bronze Star. Mr. Northridge was employed at New Hampshire Vocational Technical College, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge of Manchester, The Scottish Rite of Freemasons in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Media Temple Shrine of Watertown, N.Y., and several fly-tieing organizations, and also volunteered with the state Department of Fish and Game education program. Mr. Northridge had resided in Bedford since 1977. Members of his family include his wife of 41 years, Donna M. (Chakich) Northridge of Bedford; two sons, Craig T. Northridge and his wife, Jenny, of Huntsville, Ala., and Brian H. Northridge of San Francisco; two granddaughters; three brothers, John O. Northridge of Boydton, Va., Robert H. Northridge of New Durham and Mark A. Northridge of Alton; nieces and nephews. Mr. Northridge was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover Street. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, at noon Tuesday. Burial will follow in New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Northridge's name to the Disabled Veterans, 275 Chestnut St., Manchester 03101.
