More detail on this person: STEWART R. Park of Dothan, AL died Friday, October9, 1992 in his home after a lengthy illness. Originally from Niagara Falls, he served 17 years in the US Marine Corps. He then enlisted in the US Army serving as a master aviator and accumulating over 49,000 hours of flying. Awarded numerous medals, he served in World War 11, Korea and Vietnam. He lived in Dothan since 1956 and was a member of Dothan Elks Lodge and Evergreen Presbyterian Church. Mr. Park is survived by his wife of56 years, Marian C. Park; three sons, Ralph S. Park of London, England, Stewart M. Park of Mesa, AZ and Scott R. Park of Dothan; a daughter, Sandra Nichus of Buffalo; three sisters, Hazel Bowen and Carol Brant, both of Grand Island, and Gwen Kirwan of Messena, NY; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dotte L. Durden, who died in 1977. Services were held at Evergreen Presbyterian Church. Burial, with full military honors, was in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
