More detail on this person: Dewey Wayne Rowe Dewey Wayne Rowe 02/02/1945 ~ 12/06/2010 OCEANSIDE -- Dewey Wayne Rowe has gone to be with our Heavenly Father. Dewey moved from Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii at age 10 to various Marine bases in the United States before settling in Oceanside, Calif., after graduating high school in 1962. Drafted into the US Army shortly after graduation, he was sent to Germany where he met his beautiful wife, Ursula. He served a tour in Vietnam flying helicopters in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. Dewey returned to Oceanside in 1974, started a construction company, and built a home in San Luis Rey. He enjoyed sports, fishing, and most of all, he loved his family. He cared deeply for family and friends, and will forever be loved and missed. Dewey is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ursula Rowe; son, Fred Falk (Denise); daughters, Heidi Falk (Gary), and Monika Miles (CJ); son, Brant Rowe (Sarah); and six grandchildren; his father, Eugene F. Rowe; sisters, Aileen Doria, Barbara Hernandez, and Martha Pope; brothers, Steven Rowe and Stephen Rowe; sisters, Eugenia Kanahele, Janice Pacanos, and Ida Heaton; brothers, Michael Brennler and Larry Brennler; and numerous nieces and nephews. His mother, Jane K. Rowe, his brother, Charles F. Rowe, and brother Earl Eugene Rowe II preceded him in death. A memorial service, in celebration of Dewey's life, will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3990 Mesa Drive, Oceanside, Calif. Ever so grateful, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the North Coast.
