More detail on this person: Glendon T. Rowen and Keith Reider died in the same accident, a UH-1C model crash at Ft. Riley when our C/158/101st was still the 297th so they never made it to Viet Nam. It was on a day we were practicing for either President Eisenhouer's potential burial or Chief ( the last horse registered in the Cavalry ) Ft. Riley of course was the home of the actual horse Cavalry.

Glen was going to ask his girlfriend who was coming to visit with his parents to marry him and he and I went to Kansas City to get an engagement ring the weekend before his crash. His parents came to visit since everything was already arranged.
