Schoenleben, 57, died Thursday, August 21, 2003. He was born in Berwyn, Ill., was a resident of Wisconsin for most of his life, and had resided in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. since 1993. Mr. Schoenleben was employed with CSX since 1981 as Assistant Vice-President of Marketing. He was a decorated Vietnam War veteran serving with the United States Army, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel. He was an active Aviator. Survivors include his wife of 32 ½ years, Linda; two sons, Matthew T. Schoenleben and Thomas J. Schoenleben; mother, Bernice Munch; brother, Scott Schoenleben; uncle, Ralph Schoenleben; aunt, Evelyn Gatz; and several cousins. Funeral services for Mr. Schoenleben will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mary Janz officiating. Entombment with full Military Honors will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
