More detail on this person: CW4 (Ret) Hollis King Scoggins CW4 (Ret) Hollis King Scoggins, age 77 of Clarksville, passed away Dec. 28, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Witt and Steve Darnell officiating. Visitation will be Monday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors. Arrangements by Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Mr. Scoggins was born June 18, 1934 in Dyer County, TN, son of the late Aubrey Lacy and Trecie Mae Mayfield Scoggins. He was retired from the US Army with the following Decorations, Medals, Badges, Citations and Campaign Ribbons. Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award)// Army Service Ribbon// Overseas Service Ribbon (1) Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea)// Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Campaign Stars // Air Medal (20th) Award w/V Device) // Presidential Unit Citation//Meritorious Service Medal//Overseas Service Bars (2)//Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm//Army Commendations Medal (1) Master Army Aviator Badge//National Defense Service Medal//Legion of Merit Award. He is survived by his children, Keith (Sue) Scoggins, Susan (Sam) Brock and Cathy (Michael) Pryor, their mother, Hazel Pilcher Scoggins and his long time friend Trudi Gramlich. Other survivors include his brother Bud Harrell and sister Doris (Stuart) Caldwell. His grandchildren are Shawn Puckett, Robert Puckett, Jason Brock, Natalie Pryor and Katrina Pryor and 7 great-grandchildren. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
