Stout, 73, of Everett, WA, died on March 2, 2004. He was born September 9, 1930 in Thomasville, NC, the son of Francis E. Stout and Ollie Bowers Stout and lived in Thomasville, NC. On May 18, 1952 he entered the U.S. Army serving until January 31, 1972 (as a helicopter pilot one year in Korea and two one year tours in Viet Nam). He married Celia Gamez on May 27, 1958. His hobbies included woodworking/ furniture making, clocks, and restoring automobiles. He enjoyed sunbathing, family cookouts and making old fashioned homemade ice cream. He is survived by his wife, Celia; four sons, Michael Ray of Everett, CW-5 Richard Alan (Janis), stationed in Iraq while his wife and children live in Kempner, TX, John Eric of Everett, and Paul Brian (Mindy) of Everett; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Terri of Washington, Natasha of Thomasville, NC, Justin, Brittany, Cheyenne of Texas, Aaron of Washington, Alexis, Haley and Haven of Thomasville, NC; and one sister Pearl Stout Nicholson of Thomasville, NC. He was preceded in death by his brother, Monroe Stout. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Solie Funeral Home and Crematory. A reception will follow for family and close friends at the family home.
