More detail on this person: Robert Andrew Stroud (1944 - 2011) Robert Andrew Stroud, 67, of Burleson, a retired salesman, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bethesda Cemetery in Burleson. Robert was born March 19, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Howard Ivan and Wilma Mae White Stroud. He was a loving husband, father and friend. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam as a chief warrant officer helicopter pilot. He was highly decorated, earning two Purple Hearts. Robert also enjoyed golf, traveling, gardening, being a salesman and working. He was a wonderful father. Survivors: Wife, Colleen Stroud of Burleson; daughter, April Hubbard and husband, Charles, of Crowley; son, Bobby Stroud and wife, Shanna Steele, of Fort Worth; sisters, Sue Merrell and husband, Steve, of Granada Hills, Calif., and Nancy McKean and husband, Jim, of Santa Maria, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
