U.S. Marine Corps Name: ROBERT THAYER TAYLOR REIDSVILLE - Robert Thayer Taylor, 61, of 304 Whip-O-Will Way died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1996, at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint Joseph of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden, with Father Joseph Ayathupadam officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. A native of Cabarrus County, he had lived in Reidsville for the past 23 years moving here from Havelock. He was a retired captain in the U.S. Marine Corps with 20 years of service. He also was a former employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Saint Joseph of the Hills Catholic Church. Surviving are wife, Mary Robinson Taylor of the home; two sons, R. Keith Taylor of Wilmington, Eric H. Taylor of Ruffin; four daughters, Karen T. Gentle, Terry T. Bailey, Mary Ellen T. Chilton, all of Reidsville, Lynn T. Raymes of Fayetteville; parents, Haywood and Elizabeth Thayer Taylor of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 13 grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the residencee Corps Korea Vietnam
