More detail on this person: Tim was the second child of Roy William Topper and Ruth Leota Curry, both of California. A "blue baby," he barely survived birth to become a strong young man. Tim was a lifelong sportsman and master fisherman. From his father, a World War Two Air Corps veteran, he had a love for aviation and country. He enlisted and served as a United States Army "Huey" combat assault helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War. He participated in the Cambodian Incursion where the aircraft he commanded was downed and he was evacuated with injuries that never seemed to fully resolve. As a result, he remained on active duty until his death from organ failure at 27 years of age. He was preceded in death by his younger sister, Donna Marie Topper, and survived by his parents, older sister and younger brother. He did manage to marry his sweetheart, Jeanie, and start three sons out in life.
