More detail on this person: Carlos Larry Tucker Carlos Larry Tucker, 71, of Arab died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Tucker was born April 24, 1941, in Amherst, Ill., to Carlos W. and Lola E. Tucker. He was married to Judy S. Tucker. He was a captain in the United States Army and served with the 101st and 82nd Airborne. He served in Vietnam and received the Bronze Star, The Army Commendation Medal and the Air Medal Award for meritorious achievement. He is survived by his wife: Judy Tucker of Arab; son: John Scott Tucker of Birmingham; granddaughter: Miranda Davis of Birmingham; stepdaughter: Sheri R. Sellers of Pensacola, Fla.; step-granddaughter: Madison Wade of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law: James W. and Sharon Tucker of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.; sister: Judith Tucker Hinds of Guntersville; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister: Audra Jean Hardin of Joppa. His body was donated to the Genesis Medical Education and Research Institute of Memphis, Tenn., where his gift will enhance life through knowledge. Family and friends will be notified of a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Wounded Warriors.
