He was born Aug. 18, 1944, in Bartow and came to Sarasota 10 years ago from Tallahassee. He owned A London Frame Gallery in Sarasota. He graduated with a degree in art from Florida State University. An Army captain during the Vietnam War, he was a helicopter pilot. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his mother, Hazel Turner of Sarasota. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. The service will be at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sarasota. Memorial donations may made to the YMCA Foundation of Sarasota, 1084 S. Briggs, Sarasota, FL 34237.
