Upchurch Obituaries Fayetteville Observer, The (NC) - Thursday, May 8, 2003 LINDEN -- Retired Army Chief Warrant Officer Barbee Fulton Upchurch, 74, of 992 Slocomb Road, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Mr. Upchurch was an aviator in the Army, serving 20 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mr. Upchurch was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Trinity Baptist Church by the Revs. David Crumpler and Randy White. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mr. Upchurch is survived by his wife, Margaret J. Upchurch of the home; a son, Fulton G. "Gary" Upchurch of Fayetteville; a daughter, Judy-Ann Snell of Linden; three brothers, Max E. Upchurch of Zebulon, Dwight Upchurch of Los Angeles and Gearld Upchurch of San Antonio; a sister, Betty H. Long of Salisbury; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
