Standaert - Mary Margaret Pettifer Eastside Journal (Bellevue, WA) - Tuesday, August 1, 2000 of Redmond died of lung cancer July 28, 2000, at his home. He was 59. Mr. Woodrow was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Belfast, Maine. He served in the Army from 1968 to 1970 in Vietnam and was awarded four Bronze Stars and two Air Medals for heroism and meritorious achievement. Mr. Woodrow was a retired helicopter pilot and mechanic for the fishing industry. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Redmond. Mr. Woodrow was known for his generosity and warmth. Survivors include his wife, Annabelle Tardel Woodrow of Redmond; his daughters Stephanie T.W. Dash of Bellevue and Jocelyn T. Woodrow of Redmond; sisters and brothers Evelyn Bryant, Louise Curtis, Walter Woodrow, Harry Woodrow and Steven Woodrow; and his mother, Doris Sweatt Woodrow, of Maine. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Redmond VFW. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Remembrances may be made to the Washington Soldiers Home, P.O. Box 199, Orting, WA 98360. Green's Bellevue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
