More detail on this person: WOODRUFF, NORRIS MIERS "WOODY" Born July 27, 1938 in Alexandria, AL and passed away February 8, 2012 in Plano, TX. Woody was preceded in death by his parents, brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Annette Woodruff; sons, Doug Woodruff and wife, Dominique Bartoughian of Carlsbad, CA, Tim Woodruff and wife, Amber of Anna, TX; three grandchildren, Ally, Isabella and Gabriella; brother, Johnny Woodruff and wife, Mary Lou of Alexandria, AL and countless nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 12:00PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In his honor, please make donations to Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund.

Woody was a real hero. My first aviation assignment was at Ft Lewis in 1974. Woody was SIP IFE for A Company 9th Aviation Battalion. He flew Huey and Cobra. He had an amazing amount of flight time_.as I recall in the 10,000 hour range, all helicopter. One heck of a guy.

He lived in Plano Tx at the time of his death. Wife Annette is still there I believe.
