US Army, beloved husband of Mrs. Shirley Branan Williamson, entered into rest on Monday, August 2, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Platt's Belair Rd. Chapel with a US Army Chaplin officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Additional survivors include his three sons, Jeffrey Lance Williamson of Portsmouth, VA., David Brant Williamson and Eric Clayton Williamson both of Augusta, GA.; his mother, Betty Jean Williamson of Brunswick, GA.; his granddaughter, Livi Grace Williamson; father in law, Dr. and Mrs. W.C. Branan of Washington, GA. Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his father, James C. Williamson and sister, Cynthia Williamson Lightfoot. A native of Brunswick, GA. Bobby was a Retired LTC in the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a Helicopter pilot and a highly decorated veteran. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL. 32256. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 3:00 PM until service time.
