More detail on this person: Lester Martin Whiteis 1934-2002 Service for Lester Martin Whiteis, 68, of Decatur will be Thursday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel in Colleyville. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Whiteis died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in Decatur. Born Sept. 28, 1934, in Chicago, Ill., he served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1974 and was employed at Bell Helicopter from 1974 to 1989. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Boyd. He is survived by his wife, Mollie Whiteis; two daughters, Arlene Marie and husband Col. Robert J. Mattes of Florida and Shirley and husband Charles Cataldo of Southlake; two daughters-in-law, Michele Whiteis of Weatherford and Helen and Michael Morris and son Hayden of Azle; grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Michael; a stepmother, Marie Kaiser; two brothers, Larry Whiteis and John Adams and wife Kathy; four sisters, Lucille Anderson and husband Don of Bend, Ore., Claudia Smith and husband Hawley of Lakewood, Calif., Yvonne Cariveau and husband Gordon of Minnesota and Sharon McPhee and husband Neil of Massachussets and numerous nieces and nephews.
