More detail on this person: Robert R Watts, 70 Obituary for ROBERT R. WATTS Bozeman Daily Chronicle (MT) - Friday, April 27, 2001 Robert R. Watts, 70, of Belgrade, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2001. He was born April 12, 1931, in Earlsboro, Okla., the son of Raphael Childress and Marjorie Lois (Carl) Watts. He grew up in Oklahoma, then he and his family moved to Roundup, where he graduated from high school. Robert joined the Army National Guard just after high school. He gave a lifetime of service to the Army National Guard. In the guard he was a Huey helicopter pilot, he was also a maintenance supervisor and a test pilot at AASF in Helena. He retired from the National Guard as a CW4 Huey helicopter pilot. Robert married Patricia K. Plenger on Jan. 15, 1952, in Roundup. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge. Robert loved the outdoors, horses and riding. He also took special care of his horses. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his earlier years, he hunted arrowheads. He excelled in photography. Robert loved Montana and vowed never to live anywhere else. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Paul and brother-in-law Hoyt Bledsoe. Survivors include his wife Patricia of Belgrade; daughters Cynthia Watts of Livingston, Pam and her husband Bernie Krystkowiak of Kalispell, and Gail and her husband Steven Geisler of Spokane, Wash.; two sons Brad Watts of Belgrade, and Darryl Watts of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a sister Bonnie Bledsoe of Bossier, La.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2001, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 E. Lake St., Chicago, IL, 60601-9971.
