George was born September 4, 1944 in Council, Idaho. He lived inIdaho and graduated from Sandpoint High School. He enlisted in the Army January 21, 1965. He completedhelicopter school in FortWalter, Texas. He was Flight Instructor and Captain who did two tours in Vietnam, finishing service in1973. The family came to Spokane in 1975 and George worked at Western Utilities 25 years, retiring in 2008. George is survived by "Miss Penny", his wife of 44 years; his children George L. (Heidi), JoAnn (Greg Burton), Brian (Becky); six grandchildren: Brittany, Jared, and Travis Burton, Amanda,Tanner and Taylor Wallace; sister Mary A. Martin and brother John L. Wallace. Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in theSunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park.
