Watts Tribune-Democrat, The (Johnstown, PA) - Tuesday, July 5, 2011 YOUNGWOOD, PA. - WATTS - James L., 72, Youngwood, Pa., died Monday, July 4, 2011, in Greensburg, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Monday, Nov. 28, 1938, in Rockingham, N.C., son of the late James Thomas Watts and Martha Creech Watts. He was a retired major in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. His first tour was in the 4th Infantry and his second tour was as a helicopter pilor in the 1st Aviation Brigade. He retired from the U.S. Post Office. He was a carrier in Connellsville. He was Protestant by faith, an avid bowler, dear husband and proud father and grandfather. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Frances M. Hicks. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Easter Watts; children, James E. Watts, and wife, Laurie, McKinny, Texas; Alicia A. Anderson, and husband, James, Seward; Deborah J. Rowan, and husband, Mark, Connellsville; and Jason Watts, Hunker; grandchildren, Justin Dickert, Shane Dickert, Brandon Dickert, Taylor Joy Watts and Montana Rose Watts; four stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; loving sister, Sherry Plummer, Thomasville, N.C.; brother, F.D. Creech, and wife, Carol, Thomasville, N.C.; special niece, Jenny Fielder; and lifelong friend, Raeford Hunt, and wife, Audrey, Thomasville, N.C. Arrangements by C.
