My dad died of Small Cell Carcinoma. He had smoked heavily during his Vietnam years but had stopped smoking in the late 70s. His death was very sudden. He was diagnosed on Jan 10 2002 and died May 1. His name sake (son) is now serving in the military as a Brigadier General.
