More detail on this person: Obituary for Bobbie Joe Young Bobbie Joe Young, 72, of the Sugar Valley Lakes community near Mound City, Kansas passed away on Sunday June 9, 2013. He was born on June 1, 1941 at Monroe, Arkansas the son of William and Elsie Lecroy Young. He served his county in the United States Army retiring as a Major. He married Mary Ann Britt on October 27, 1962 at Clay Center, Kansas. After retiring from the Army, Bobbie worked at many things including, cabinet making, truck driving, law enforcement and in the construction industry. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing golf. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessie Dee Young and a sister, Carolyn Young. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of the home, one son Bobby Joe Young Jr, one daughter Julie Ann Hutchinson, two brothers, Bill and John Young, three sisters, Lanera Morelock, Betty Penrod and Ruth Penrod, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday June 14, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
