The helicopter was hit in the Engine Compartment causing a Fire.
Systems damaged were: PERSONNEL, ENGINE
Casualties = 05 DOI . .
The helicopter Crashed. Aircraft Destroyed.
Both mission and flight capability were terminated.

Sources has indicated to the VHPA that these four men plus one more died in the same UH-1C in Binh Dinh Province while serving for A/1/9th Cav. The VHPA is very interested in learning more about this event.
